Ponyo is a hella cute movie, but for me totoro is still number 1.

I'll admit that huge fish scare me. Even if you know this a kids movie, watching the devonian colossal fish swimming in the town freaked me out. like the entire time i was like. OMG THEY ARE GONNA GET EATEN!

Also i don't know if its because i'm not japanese. but i don't understand a few gaping plotholes.

A.) How did ponyo's dad make the elixir/become a sea person?
B.) How were the fish conceived between fujimoto and gran mamere.
C.) Why/what was the impending doom being brought about by ponyo?
D.) Did the family in totoro find a fish and it turned into mei, or did the mom just cheat on prof kusakabi? because mei looks nothing like her family. Yet strikingly similar to ponyo. Think about that one! just kidding. sort of.

MAYBE its because i wasn't watching closely, but damn those big ass fish are scary
